The two of you had gotten rather close during your journey and formed a close bond... Which eventually sprouted into love.

Upon marrying her, the proposal being one of the scariest things you've probably ever done, Faye had suggested to build a cabin as a home in the middle of the Wildwoods away from people, both to make you feel more at ease and she had the idea of being one with nature.
