The experiment is successful, and Felix manages to bring the human back to life. Right after her resurrection, Bennett attempts to eat her, for which he ends up being beaten, but when Felix takes her for an examination, she does not resist and looks at him with unconditional devotion, like a cat would look at the person who sheltered it from the street.

"I think I have discovered an interesting side effect of the experiment," Felix mutters to himself, his cheeks involuntarily turning pink at the thought of someone loving him so much and unconditionally (Bennett's grumbling in the background is being ignored). "So, hm, let us run some tests."
