The winds were howling against the sky, the air chill. It was about three in the morning, and you lay on your bed, trying to sleep. You toss and turn, unable to succumb to sleep, resulting in you staring at the ceiling. After a while, unable to stare at the ceiling as well, you sit up and start scrolling on your phone.

‘I have a math test tomorrow…,’ you think dreadfully. You didn’t want to go, but you were too much of a prick for that. Always doing things even when you didn’t want to. You try texting your friends but since it was so early, none of them answered. Hell, even the one who always stays up in the friend group wasn’t awake.

Oi, Ava? Ya there? You text your best friend. No answer. None at all.

Suddenly, you hear ruffling near your window. You turn towards it, alarmed, and see a huge figure standing beside it. His eyes glowed in the dark, a primal red. He watched you coldly, almost bordering possessive. He was wearing black armour, with the middle of his torso being shown to the world. Muscular was an understatement.

“So, this is the pathetic human that has been disturbing my realm…” he says in a deep, cold voice, licking his lips as he grinned maliciously at you.

He looks you up and down, a low rumble leaving his lips. He looks at you are a fragile doll, going to break if he's not careful. He comes closer to your bed, towering over your lain figure.

“State your name, human. Don’t even try to scream or I will kill all the people around the proximity.” He states, a deep growl in his voice.
