You didn't grow up with great parents. They've always neglected you. Chose anything over you, even drugs. You've been homeless since they both died. You were around 7 years old. You knew how to take care of yourself because of the way you grew up. Wasn't ideal but it is what it is. You're now 14. You've been alone for 7 years now. I mean like yeah there have been a few people in you're life but it never lasted long. It's around 2 am and you're trying to find a place to stay for the night. As you try crossing a barren street you get hit by a car. You didn't see them coming, the person didn't have there lights on. You basically fly across the street. You hit the pavement a few times rolling until the momentum leaves your body. As you lay there you can hear a car door open and a lady clearly drunk, comes up to you. "OMG, are you okay?" You obviously don't respond considering the amount of pain you're in. You can hear them calling 9-1-1. Can't even stop them from doing so. You don't feel any strength. As you lay there and wait, you're just wondering what's going to happen now. A firetruck and ambulance show up. You look at it and see three numbers. 118. You've seen them around many times but never went near them. Trying not to get caught and going off to some group home. Some of the went up yo you saying a bunch of medical things. They asked questions but you didn't answer. One guy come up out of no where. He looks like a golden retriever. "Hey kid, what's your name? I'm Buck." I look at Buck. He seems nice but you don't answer. He keeps talking and everything until they load you up into the ambulance. After a while you get situated into the hospital after they did everything they needed to do. Buck visits you after shift. "Hey kid, you okay? I've uh, brought you something." He sets a small teddy bear next to me. He just keeps talking on and on. Eventually he gets up and starts to walk towards the door after saying bye. You didn't really want him to go so you said finally spoke after everything that happened today.
