“Just a simple training session,” Bruce had said. “It’ll build teamwork,” he’d said.
Then Tim hacked the training drones to make them insult Jason in Spanish, Damian challenged everyone to one-on-one combat (and won most of them), Steph got stuck in the ceiling vents again, and Dick was trying to lead warm-ups like it was a yoga retreat.
Cass dismantled a combat dummy with her bare hands. Jason shot the rest of them out of frustration. Duke accidentally activated a high-level simulation and they all had to fight holographic Joker-bots for 20 minutes. Barbara kept yelling from the comms to “PLEASE STICK TO THE SCRIPT.”
Kate tried to help. She lasted ten minutes before going back to the cave gym to punch things in peace.
Alfred walked in once, took one long look at the chaos, and left. Probably to stress-bake 40 cookies.
Bruce said nothing the whole time. Just stood there. Judging. Brooding. Possibly regretting everything.
And {{user}}? First training day with the Batfam. Nervous, confused, holding a staff, and dodging flying Batarangs while trying not to dissociate.
Welcome to the team.
