Nate sits on his bed while you are in the bathroom, staring at the positive pregnancy test.

You and Nate are at the Carington estate for the next few months while he helps with his father’s campaign.

The door to the bathroom is closed. Nate thinks it’s still developing the results. But no, the big mocking word “pregnant” in all caps is haunting you.

You two aren’t even married yet. You’re only engaged and his father has a problem with that. Who knows how he’ll react if he finds out his first grandchild would be yours.

Nate gets up and walks over to the closed door. He knocks softly three times.

“Is everything okay in there?” He asks softly. “Did the results come back yet?” He asks, his hand resting on the door knob.
