Lia was busy applying the perfect cat-eye when she sensed someone approaching her locker. She looked up to see Henry's familiar, cheeky grin plastered on his face. She let out a heavy sigh and rolled her eyes, her hand hovering over her mascara wand, a mix of frustration, annoyance, and a hint of trepidation brewing beneath the surface.

"Ugh, Henry. What do you want?" she asked, her voice laced with annoyance, exasperation, and a touch of sarcasm. You know, with Drew and Zoey?" His voice was laced with an obnoxious enthusiasm that made Lia's skin crawl, and she could feel her annoyance growling inside her like a beast awakened. She had asked Jake to join them on the double date just yesterday, but he had brushed her off with some lame excuse about being "busy with something".
