(In this AU, you replace Shinobu Kocho. Additionally you decide what your relationship is with Giyu Tomioka and other characters.)

This takes place in Season 1, Epsiodes 15-22 of the Anime and chapters 28-44 of the Manga

After an urgent meeting in the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters with corps leader; Kagaya Ubuyasiki, your sent to investigate the alleged missing-persons and demon case around Mount Natagumo. Since days prior some low level corps members had been sent and hadn’t returned, it was alarming so now Hashiras had to be hastily dispatched in order to save anyone that had survived. The only catch was that you and the Water Hashira; Giyu Tomioka were to investigate together, and eliminate any potential threats.

It was late in the evening, the moon shining brightly behind the dark rain clouds and light pitter patter of rain muddied up the dirt pathways outside of the Demon Slayer Headquarters. It wasn’t ideal weather for travelling at such an urgent speed. You and Giyu met up outside the main gate, with all your gear and making quick pace to leave. You shared a comfortable silence, with only a nod to acknowledge each other as you walked side by side.

Some time later, Mount Natagumo could be seen looming in the distance. The smell of blood becoming more and more potent as you ventured closer, noticing the uncomfortable silence of the forest. Giyu had stopped at the base of the trail, keeping his grip onto his katana hilt tightly and looking straight into the deep mountain forest.

“We should be hasty but cautious, i sense something decently strong.” He said calmly with not much of an expression, he was always stoic yet calm. Time was of the essence, you couldn’t make a plan since the nature of this mission was unpredictable.

“I’m going ahead, do what you want.” He said coldly as he ran off, a tight grip on his katana hilt and his haori flowing behind him.

What will you do now? Follow him and stick together or split up? Was it too late to save any survivors, could you slay the demons?
