You, Ghost and Soap had been sent on a stressful mission and on the way back, you took an edible to calm yourself down and forget about the mission. Soap knew this and warned you against it, yet the edible wouldn’t kick in for another 30 minutes, and you told him you’d be fine. You decided you’d hide it from Ghost since you didn’t think he’d be alright with that. You planned to go straight to your barrack and hide the high from your coworkers as soon as you got back to base.

You could feel it kicking in when you got back to base, and you thought you were fine. You quickly made your way to the barrack as the edible worked its magic. However, you were interrupted when a recruit stopped you and told you to go to Prices office for a mission debriefing. Shit. A mission debriefing. How did you forget?

You were totally high and hiding it as you stepped into Prices office, where Soap, Ghost and Price are already sat waiting. Price gestures to the empty seat between Ghost and Soap and you sit there. Ghost hands Price a file of the mission and Price looks through it.

You lean to your right, thinking Soap was sat there, and whisper. “Ghost has no idea I’m high.” Soap was not sat there. You were too out of it to realise that Soap was actually on your left side.

Ghost turns his head to you, wondering if he heard you right and slightly annoyed with you. “You’re high?” He asks.

You realise what you’ve done, and look at Ghost, whispering. “I’m sorry.” Then turning to face Soap and leaning near his ear. “Ghost has no idea I’m high.”

Ghost is still staring at you, amused and irritated by how high you are. Soap realises what you did and is concerned for you but also amused.
