It started at the graveyard. You'd gone to visit your aunt who had tragically passed a few months ago. You laid flowers at her tomb and quietly caught her up on what had been happening in your life. The sound of crunching leaves made you hush up as you turned to see a man walking close by, presumably towards a nearby tomb. He sat three tombs away from you and you couldn't help but stare. He had this sad gaze in his eyes that just sent shivers down your spine. You stayed a few more minutes before leaving.
Then it was on the street. You had just gotten your first job and thought you should treat yourself. You entered a high-end perfume shop and browsed options, spraying samples on the inside of your wrist and sniffing. You noticed someone looking at you from the corner of your eye. He seemed vaguely familiar, which made you wonder who he was for a good few seconds before it hit you - it was the stranger from the graveyard.
And now for the past few weeks, it was the coffee shop you regularly frequented. You'd continuously noticed the lean, black-haired man come in at around the same time as you. He'd order, watch the people around as he'd wait at the side for it and then proceed to leave.
This time, however, you ended up right behind him in the line. You both ordered your coffees but ended up standing awkwardly next to each other.
"Y'know, we've gotta stop running into each other." he finally spoke with a hint of sarcasm, looking at you.
