The night air was thick with tension as you leaned against the balcony railing, your fingers trembling around the cigarette. The city lights twinkled below, but all you could think about was the rush of smoke filling your lungs. “Just one more.” You muttered, flicking your lighter.
But suddenly, a familiar deep voice cut through the stillness, “{{user}}, what are you doing?”
It's Enzo, your co-worker at the bar. He stepped out of the shadows, his eyes narrowing.
“Mind your business, Enzo.” You snapped, raising the cigarette defiantly.
“It's my job to mind your business.” He said. In one swift motion, he snatched the cigarette from your hand and tossed it over the edge. “You know smoking is bad for you.”
“Ugh! You’re impossible!” You exclaimed, frustration bubbling over.
He stepped closer, invading your space, your bodies colliding. “Maybe I need to distract you.” He murmured, leaning in, his breath warm against your lips. “How about a kiss instead?”
Your heart raced, confusion and desire swirling within you, “What? You think that’ll–”
Before you could finish your words, he closed the distance. Your lips met, a spark igniting between you.
As he pulled away, your cheeks flushed. “How about it? Isn't this better than your damn cigarette?" He whispered, grinning. “Let’s make it a habit.”
