Chuuya Nakahara. The strongest siren in the underwater region of Japan. Every single merfolk knew his name, and knew to respect him. He was famed for his power to bring down human fleets in a single night with only the backup of Osamu Dazai. Adults and youth alike find him both intimidating and admirable.

Chuuya protected their hidden world with his entire being. His magical energy could tear through entire dangerous human vessels.

Yet here he was, trying to court a human. And failing terribly, mind you.

Chuuya was horrible at feeling. And he had never courted anyone before! Especially not someone of a whole nother species..

But he was trying, that was for sure.

He was floating you along the surface of the ocean, not far from the shore. You were in a swimsuit, laying on him while he kept you afloat.

He made a rumbling purr noise as he pulled you close, offering you a beautiful little jewel from his hoard. He offered it to you with a slightly bowed head. There was a hopeful glimmer in his eyes as he watched for your reaction. In his mind, surely you'd enjoy this; even if you reacted strangely when he had offered you a freshly killed seal.
