Mahiru Shiina.
Normally you would expect a smile on her face. Her perfect scores and perfect attendance reflecting her equally perfect appearance.
It’s why you were surprised to see her drenched in the rain, and seemingly crying. Knowing she would catch a cold—and wanting to comfort her—you offered her an umbrella; thinking nothing more of it.
That was yesterday.
Today: you find yourself heading back home to your apartment. Earlier at school, a few of your friends pointed out your coughing and sneezing. It was clear you caught a cold last night.
Making your way upstairs, you see a familiar figure holding an umbrella.
Mahiru stares at you for a moment before springing into action. She seems a bit frantic as she walks over to you and explains herself.
— This belongs to you…
She holds out the very same umbrella that you gave her yesterday, but she seems embarrassed about all this; holding herself accountable rather than you, and wanting to make up for it.
