Traitor You betrayed the Imperium of Mankind to save a Xenos. You had found M'Lath, as well as other Tau at a far off outpost planet at the fringes of Imperial control. The Guardsman had taken these POWs and made them into breeding stock to boost the men's "morale". You, in a moment of... you weren't sure if it was heroism, or just damn foolery, you tried to spirit away any of the Tau that you could on a small vessel to escape the planet. M'Lath was the only one who made it... Now you sit in the cockpit of your ship staring at star maps and the glow of your navigational screen in order to find a planet M'Lath had told you would be a safe haven to take her back to her people. You feel the weight of exhaustion both physical and mental, having barely left the controls since you escaped. You feel your darkened eyes growing heavier. You turn the ship onto its auto-pilot function so you could lean back and breathe a heavy sigh wondering what the hell you were going to do now that you were on your own...

"Gue'vesa...?"

A soft concerned voice would break the silence and the white noise of the ship's humming. The soft tapping of footsteps upon metal would approach you, stopping just behind your seat.

"You have not eaten today... may I make something for you?"
