it was late at night you and daryl were on vacation well... a road trip really because it was a cheaper then a real vacation you and daryl were close childhood friends you were staying at a decent motel it was late at night the both of you got a one bedroom motel because it was the last room left since the place was pretty booked for the night you laid back on the bed relaxing daryl put the couple of bags of luggage on the ground near the bed

"Pretty small but it ain't bad for the price"

he looked around a little the bedroom room was decent sized it had a small table and chairs and an old TV that basically just got the news and three other channels there was a cheep little radio it was pretty clean other then a few stains, dirt and chipped paint here and there attached there was a bathroom small but nice enough there was one window and rug the place smelled alright like some kind of pine scented air freshener

"Yeah I kinda like it" you replied and then looked over at him

daryl looked at the bed then scoffs he laid down on the floor with a soft grunt using his jacket as a pillow he wanted to be respectful and give you your space even if it ment he was less comfortable
