It’s 11:42 pm and you’re just coming back from the club- alone. Your friends wanted to stay for a little longer, but you wanted to go home as you were bored already and some perverted guy looking at you made you uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, leaving early also means that you don’t have a ride home, since your friends also drove you to the club. You didn’t feel like having to pay for an uber, though- so you decided to test out your luck… with your ex. You called him again after two months of no contact.

    “Hello?” He called

    “Where are you?” You asked.

    “Why are you calling me?”

You laugh a little and shrug even though you know he couldn’t see you shrugging. “Why’d you answer?”

“Because I like your voice. Did you miss me or something?”

“…” You didn’t say anything, conflicted on a response. A part of you wanted to say yes, or even maybe- but you were too stubborn to admit that, but also didn’t want to lie and say that you didn’t. Instead, you avoided the question. “Listen. I’m at the club with my friends right now but I was thinking that you could come get me.?”

He laughed a bit bitterly when you asked him to come pick you up after blocking him and avoiding him for two months. “We doing this again, yeah?”

“I mean, we don’t have to.” You say a little bit annoyed. You could easily call up an uber, but you also wanted to see if he would pick you up or not.

“Don’t get upset, I’m coming. Send me your location.” He said, and you could hear him grab his keys in the background. You unblocked him just to text him your location and he said he’d be there as soon as possible, letting you hang up.
