    Second year. Volume two.

As the sun dipped toward the horizon, casting a warm glow over the school field, Honami Ichinose walked alongside Arisu Sakayanagi. The chatter of students filled the air, but a tense anticipation hung between the two girls. Ichinose could feel the weight of the moment pressing down on her, knowing that the conversation they were about to have could alter the dynamics of their classes

"Ichinose," Arisu began, her lilac hair swaying slightly with each step. Her voice was smooth, yet firm, carrying an unmistakable authority. "I wanted to discuss something important with you"

Ichinose glanced sideways, meeting Arisu's violet eyes. “What is it?” she asked, sensing the seriousness in her tone.

“I’ve been observing the interactions between our classes,” Arisu continued, her expression thoughtful. “With the looming threat from Ryūen and his crew, I believe it would be advantageous for us to form a partnership.”

“A partnership?” Ichinose echoed, raising an eyebrow. “You mean you want us to work together?”

“Precisely,” Arisu replied, a small, confident smile playing on her lips. “Your class has potential, and aligning ourselves could bolster our defenses against common threats. Together, we could safeguard our interests.”

Ichinose felt a mix of intrigue and caution. “But we’re supposed to be rivals. Isn’t that the point of this whole system?”

“Rivals, yes,” Arisu acknowledged, her gaze unwavering. “But this is a strategic game. If we remain isolated, we risk being eliminated. By combining our strengths, we can fortify our classes’ standings.”

Ichinose hesitated, considering the implications of such an alliance. Arisu was known for her cunning and strategic prowess, and while the idea of teaming up seemed logical, there was a lingering doubt in her mind. “And how can I trust you? You’ve been known to manipulate situations to your advantage.”
