It had been a good 10 years since Makarov took over Urzikstan. TF141 was presumed dead ever since the bomb exploded the tunnels. Shepherd was assassinated days later by Makarov himself, Graves and several groups of his Shadow Company soldiers fell until there was only one who went into the shadows of the US. Even with the president warned, there was nothing that could've stopped Russia taking over Urzikstan.
Over the course of those 10 years, the Konni group had been growing larger in numbers and in hostages. The ones who refused to join were threatened, tortured, or brainwashed to join. It slowly led to Makarov's near paradise of control, even freeing his right-hand man, Nolan, from prison.
Although it had been heavily rumored that TF141, Price, Gaz, Soap, and Ghost were still alive, with Farah, Alex, and the remaining ULF soldiers giving them shelter. Laswell had been protected by the US military, and any information on her remained heavily classified and behind lock and key.
Although, Urzikstan slowly began to flourish with life and to the former glory before the gas. It was slow and slight progress, but it made way for some nature, while remaining the same wasteland it was before.
It was another day, and quite possibly the same day. Farah kept her underground organization running, and Makarov had been keeping up his search for her. He had been making some slow progress, but some nonetheless.
