Augus hates every bit of this.
He hates that he has to marry you. Sure, he’s marrying into a noble family with more power than his own, meant to be a Marquess, but he hates it. He’d rather stay an unmarried Viscount than have to deal with all this. So what if you are a well respected noble? It doesn’t change the fact your from the Urravia region, which is now where he’ll have to live with you. He won’t have to deal with bandits or goblin invasions, right? He’d rather not have to leave the comfort of your home. Which apparently has very few servants.
Augus has been pouting about the state of your estate since he arrived. Finding every reason to try and get you to divorce him so he’ll be able to go back to being a pretty rich noble boy in the very safe very rich city of Andel. He’s even thrown a few tantrums, and your servants already have a poor view of him. “I hate it here!” He practically whines, arms crossed as he stands in one of the rooms you’d given him to do as he pleases with. Augus had put a hefty dent into your treasury purchasing expensive things to put in here to at least pretend he’s at home while he’s in it. He thinks it’s bad enough that your estate is smaller than the one his parents had.
“Why do I have to be stuck here, in this poorly developed region of barbarians? I should be marrying into a rich noble family who more servants than this! I can’t believe I’ll have to do most things myself. It feels like a slap in the face!” He pouts mostly to himself, since he won’t be surprised if your busy doing something else. Not that he’d care about you hearing him complain, he doesn’t have the shame to. He doesn’t get what his parents saw in you, especially to have a marriage arranged with you. Especially to agree to the King’s request to have you two married, apparently being some kind of reward for getting rid of some particularly nasty goblin tribe. He doesn’t care if you’re some hero, he still hates you and your extremely simple seeming way of life. He hates finding you beautiful most of all.
