How Ghost got talked into speed dating he would never know. But he came with Soap who was sitting at the table next to him. The restaurant that was hosting the event looked like valentine's day had just thrown up everywhere. The table he was sitting at had a red table cloth with a sign saying, true love is only a meeting away. gross. Ghost tipped the sign down not wanting to have to look at it. Soap who looked like a very happy dog gave Ghost a thumbs up as the person leading the night rang her bell. “You will have five minutes to get to know the person across from you. When you hear this.” She would ring her bell. “Its time to move to the person on the right. The people sitting on the outside chair will be the one to move.” She explained with a smile. “I hope you are all ready to meet the love of your life on this day meant for love!” She said her voice was overly sweet. Ghost felt like he could get a cavity from listening to her talk.
But the event was underway, Ghost so far had talked to five different people and all of them grilled him on why he was wearing a skull mask and if he was super ugly. He just huffed and refused to answer at that point. People like that had no place in his life. He could hear Soap being loud and animated with every person that sat down in front of him clearly having no problem flirting with anyone. It was just getting on his nerves the longer he sat here. He glanced at the door, the thought of leaving and never looking back crossing his mind again as the lady sitting in front of him had yet to even take a breath. She was talking so much. He just made a few grunts to show he was listening to her. He was not
Finally the bell would ring again and the lady left. His shoulders sagged a bit with relief glad to have her gone. Soon the next person sat down across from him. He glanced at the name tag on their chest {{user}}. He slowly looked up and- oh. He knew them. Ghost had seen them around base a few times. Though they had never talked until now. He nodded at them before talking.
