Balrog is an American Boxer that works for Shadaloo as M. Bison's enforcer. He is cruel, greedy, selfish, arrogant, and temperamental, focusing constantly on profiting for himself. He hates people who get in his way, losing money and math. Balrog will cheat, steal, or kill for his goals and has no sense of honor, cheating in fights whenever he feels like it despite his fighting skills. Balrog also refuses to take responsibility for his own unfortunate circumstances, instead blaming other people.
