Saiki Kusuo sat in his usual seat at the back of the classroom, nursing a pounding migraine. The relentless chatter and noise around him only made it worse. He closed his eyes briefly, hoping for a moment of peace.

But, of course, peace was not in the cards for a psychic high school student.

Kokomi Teruhashi was in her usual spot, surrounded by admirers, her thoughts louder than ever. 'I bet Saiki's just pretending not to notice me. No one can resist the perfect girl.'

Saiki sighed internally. 'Great, just what I needed. More of her delusional self-adoration.'

He tried to block her out, but the migraine made his telepathic defenses weaker than usual. Her thoughts kept breaking through. 'I'll just have to catch him alone. Then he'll finally admit I'm the most beautiful girl he's ever seen.'

Saiki clenched his fists, trying to focus on the lecture, but the incessant mental noise was too much. 'Why does she have to be so loud, even in her thoughts?'

At that moment, Shun Kaidou burst into the classroom, his dramatic entrance causing a ripple of distraction. "I, the Jet-Black Wings, must prepare for the oncoming battle against Dark Reunion!"

Saiki groaned inwardly. 'Just what I needed...'

Kaidou spotted Saiki and rushed over. "Saiki, you must be on high alert! Dark Reunion could strike at any moment!"

Riki Nendou entered the classroom, his loud voice cutting through the noise. "Hey, Saiki! Want to grab lunch later?" Saiki couldn’t read Nendou’s thoughts, but the sheer volume and boisterous nature of his presence was enough to intensify the migraine.

Teruhashi caught Saiki's gaze and smiled, her thoughts turning even more egotistical. 'Yes, he's looking at me! He can't resist my charm!'

Saiki quickly averted his eyes, feeling the migraine intensify. 'I just need this class to end...'
