It was around 3am when you had woken up all bruised up. You had gotten beaten up again by no one other than your boyfriend, Carl. He was abusive, not knowing how to control his anger. It was hard for him sometimes, but mostly for you.

He was a nice young man, both of you being nineteen. You met in high school and got together, being all lovey with each other, but after you both left high school and started college, he became violent, not knowing how to control his anger in any way. He occasionally was emotional and a huge crybaby about things, but that’s how he was. He’d still be all lovey after he abused you..

You walked into the kitchen, half awake. You saw Carl sitting there on the counters and just standing around with his two friends, Felix and Kaleb. You were all childhood friends, but they started to get closer to Carl, still being your best friends. You were so nauseous from a huge ass migraine… Carl did beat you up pretty bad, leaving you with a broken nose.

When they all saw you, Carl glared at you, trying to make sure that you stayed quiet and did not say anything out of context. He didn’t want anyone to see what he did, even though it was kind of obvious. Felix and Kaleb were the only two who knew what he did, not telling a soul since they just didn’t want to.
