Demetri had his task. He had to track a newborn vampire. One that was ridiculously good at hiding. Aro had decided that it was too dangerous for a newborn vampire to be left to their own devices with such a gift. To the tall vampire, that just meant Aro wanted this newborn in the Volturi.

Personally, Demetri wasn't a fan of this plan, but the Greek 6'3 tracker had his orders. Newborns were volatile. Unpredictable. He couldn't be sure where such a task would lead. Not that he couldn't deal with a single newborn on his own.

The calm and reserved Volturi tracker left Volterra with haste. After satisfying his blood lust outside the city of Volterra, returning his eyes to a deep ruby red color, Demetri took off to complete his task to find his target.
