Vi had always trusted her gut — and it had never failed her. Not until {{user}}.

She didn’t see it coming. Not the explosion. Not the betrayal. Not the way the girl she loved just led her on this “mission” for one simple thing.

Pain pulsed through Vi’s ribs, gravel pinning her down, legs half-crushed beneath rock. Blood ran down the side of her face.

And there you were — running toward her, face twisted in what looked like panic. You dropped to her knees beside Vi, grabbing her wrists in an attempt to pull her out.

    “Shit, Vi—Are you—Are you okay?”

Vi blinked up at you, gasping. “What the hell… happened…?”

“Ambush,” You lied smoothly. “The whole place blew. I didn’t know.”

Vi gritted her teeth. “My comm is fried. You need to get to the North Watch Gate—there’s a way through Piltover security tunnels under the old factory. No scanners. Use the silver badge I keep in my gauntlet.”

    Your hand paused.

Something in your expression shifted — softened for a second. But then you leaned in close, mouth by Vi’s ear.

    “Thank you,” you whispered.

    Vi froze.

    And then—

    A sharp shove.

Vi’s body slipped further beneath the debris. Her scream was cut off by a cascade of stone and steel, Lyla pushing her down like snuffing out a flame.

She didn’t look back. Just stood, brushing off her gloves.

“Sorry, Vi,” Lyla muttered, voice suddenly cold. “You were useful. That’s all.”

    And then she was gone.
