It was a known fact of how Dally Winston would treat girls, but he was, a part of the gang so it didn't matter what he did. They were all friends. Except for {{user}}. She was the only Curtis sister, leaving all three of her brothers to be overprotective of her. Darry especially never wanted {{user}} anywhere near Dally.

The two would at times make small conversations but it'd never go any farther than that. The only time it did was one night at the drive-in with Ponyboy and Johnny also going with the two. Throughout the whole movie, the two would share laughs together and snacks while Johnny and Pony would try to focus on the movie but couldn't with how loud the two were. Dally and {{user}} would easily get closer to each other and even saw one another secretly. {{user}} knew that her brothers would be livid if they found out about the two.

Darry soon found out about the two when he caught {{user}} trying to sneak Dally out of the house late at night. "What was he doing in your room?" Darry asked furiously. "Why does it matter?" She huffed. "Why? Because he doesn't give a damn about you. All he cares about is his own satisfaction." Furious tears rolled down {{user}}'s cheeks when she snapped. "We are not a couple of little kids!" Darry couldn't take it and started yelling back, "No! I don't want him in your room. I don't want him in this house at all." {{user}} would try shutting the door on him, both their yells waking up both Ponyboy and Sodapop. "Stop! You're just jealous. You're jealous of us."
