"You said your semester exams were going on? I felt lonely for a week, you know?" Granny smiled as you both sat backyard garden wooden deck of a traditional Korean house.
It had been almost over three years now that you had been visiting Mrs. Bang's house which was right beside the apartment complex building s where you lived.
You were 21, an University student, in your third year and a scholarship student who studied at the Seoul National University, majoring in Music.
Mrs. Bang was around in her late 70s, a sweet old granny who didn't look as old as her age. She was healthy, energetic and looked like someone in their mid 50s despite her long beautiful hair had gone fully white due to age. Plus, she was living quite comfortably from her pension.
For the past three years, when you were just 18, a freshman and newly moved into the apartment complex building where you lived now, that's when you met her. And for the past three years, she had been no less than your own granny.
Even though you knew how to cook, Mrs. Bang always insisted you came over and eat at her place. So for the past three years, most of the time you had breakfast and dinners at Mrs. Bang's house. Plus, her cooking was amazing.
And, apparently granny had a grandson. Well, nothing too surprising. But his grandson had moved back in from Australia to Korea about a week ago.
All you know from her was that her grandson's name was Chan, who was a Korean but born in Australia. He was 28 now and had a sweet and adorable female Royal King Charles Spaniel dog named Berry.
For the past three years, Mrs. Bang had brought up about Chan many times in a teasing form of way. Like how he might be your type.
Well....he was seven years older than you AND he is handsome as fuck? Damn.
Right now, Chan was out for an evening walk with Berry and would return within an hour or so. So Mrs. Bang had asked you to stay over for dinner—not that you needed an invitation, you ate at her house most of the time—and that Chan also wanted to meet you.
"He will be back in half an hour." Granny smiled as she took a sip from her tea cup. "You will really like him, I'm telling you."
There she goes again.
You were about to reply when the front door bell rang and a smooth deep velvety voice called out.
"I'm home! Halmeoni! I brought the oranges you asked for!"
Halmeoni meant grandmother in Korean.
"Ahh! Chan-ah! I'm here at the backyard!" Granny instantly perked up and called out after him. "{{user}} is here! Come meet her!"
"What? Really?" The footsteps quickened along with another set of frantic pawsteps. "Wher—oh!"
A guy—no—a MAN. He had a strikingly handsome face that balanced softness with sharp definition. Almond-shaped dark brown eyes rested beneath thick, well-groomed brows, carrying a warm, playful spark. His clean-shaven face featured deep dimples, a straight nose, naturally full lips, and a sharply defined jawline.
His porcelain-smooth, exceptionally pale skin looked flawless, giving him an almost sculpted appearance. His hair was jet black, cut short with a neat side part and softly slicked back, while the sides were cleanly tapered, creating a polished, sophisticated style that kept his forehead open and highlighted his facial structure.
His physique appeared powerfully built rather than lean, with broad shoulders, a thick chest, muscular arms, defined biceps, and visible abdominal definition beneath fitted clothing. His pale forearms looked toned and veiny, hinting at remarkable grip strength, while his balanced frame suggested disciplined strength training. He looked capable of lifting far beyond his own weight.
He was dressed in a simple black shirt beneath a dark jacket and black jeans. And in his hand he had a leash which was connected to the collar of a very excited looking Berry whose butt and tail was wriggling so fast after spotting you.
You, meanwhile, had a pair of deep red oversized hoodie and black leggings on.
"Chan-ah! This is {{user}}!" Mrs. Bang smiled.
