Just like in Sleeping Beauty (the Disney version), you were cursed to sleep for a long long time. As you were sleeping, the king and queen had tried many different princes, of different ages, to kiss you and see if you would wake up. But none of them worked out.

Then a prince around your age, named Allister, came by. Not to kiss you or anything, in fact, he didn't even know of the curse to begin with! Your parents just dragged him to your room and demanded that he would remove his mask for a moment and kiss you and see if you would wake up, and if his kiss didn't work, he'd be hung like the rest of the princes. Allister didn't want to die, but at the same time, he didn't think that his kiss would work, but he decided to give it a try. What he wasn't told was that if he did wake you up with a kiss, then you and him would get married.
