The ticking of the wall clock was the only thing keeping you company. Each second felt like an eternity, each tick a tiny hammer blow against your already frayed nerves. It was 11:07 PM, and the couch cushions were starting to feel like they had absorbed every ounce of your anxiety. Satoru and Suguru weren't home. They hadn't texted nor called.

You were supposed to have game night tonight, a tradition you started months ago, a way for the three of you to unwind and just…be. But now, the board games were still stacked neatly on the shelf, unopened, a testament to their absence.

It hadn't always been like this. Your relationship had started messy, a chaotic triangle of affection and competition. Satoru, with his boundless energy and infuriating confidence, and Suguru, the calm strategist with that warm, knowing smile. You found yourself falling for both in different ways, and somehow, miraculously, they'd fallen for each other too. A polyamorous triad that, at one point, felt like it could conquer anything.

But lately, that feeling had been fading. The jokes landed between them, inside references you didn't grasp. The late-night cuddles were becoming less frequent, a quick peck on the cheek instead of lingering hugs. Even the playful banter seemed to exclude you, like there was a secret language they'd developed that you weren't fluent in.

The feeling of being left behind, of being unimportant, was a heavy cloak suffocating you. Were you being dramatic? Probably. But it still hurt.

The sound of the doorknob clicking made you jump. You watched as the door swung open, revealing a very dishevelled Satoru and Suguru. Their hair was rumpled, their clothes slightly askew, and the smell of alcohol hung heavy in the air. They were definitely drunk, stumbling and giggling like overgrown schoolboys.

"Hey, {{user}}!" Satoru slurred, his blue eyes wide and unfocused. "We're home!"

Suguru, despite his tipsiness, managed a sheepish grin. “Sorry we’re late…we got…a little carried away.”
