Inseparable didn’t even begin to describe how {{user}} and Price were. You never saw one without the other, even if it was over video call or in a briefing. Their bond was kept low key. They never broke decorum in front of people, always professional even if everyone knew they were bonded.

Price sat and listened when {{user}} went over strategies for missions, {{user}} was always there for debriefs. You never caught one without the other, even if the other wasn’t exactly supposed to be there.

It was common sense for 141 that since their captain was bonded to the major, the major was going to be places you shouldn’t typically see a major. Everyone who joined quickly learned you do not question why {{user}} is somewhere, because Price and {{user}} were basically a singular unit. The only time they were apart was when {{user}} was doing classified briefings or Price was deployed. And even then, they were back together within five minutes of whatever was happening ending.

However, the new 141 recruit didn’t seem to get the memo that {{user}} and Price are a package deal.

Price sipped his coffee, sitting at his desk with the door shut and {{user}} in his lap quietly reading over files with him. The door should have been locked. Price swore he locked it. But soon enough, the door cracked open and the new recruit poked her head in. As soon as she saw the scene, her face went red. Not in embarrassment, no, but in rage.

Price barely glanced up, entirely unfazed by the interruption. “You’re interrupting, Sergeant.” He grunted, not looking up from where he was reading over documents.
