"Hey, squirt. You up yet?"
The familiar balaclava with goggles looms over your face as you groggily wake up from your sleep. Dying fire ashes lay on the grassy ground next to you, very much like a bag of gear Johnny must've already tied together.
After shoving him away, and a comment about his breath stinking, you finaly woke up properly.
"Hey I thought we said something about my natural smell... I know about it, and I can’t do anything with it, so get off my back."
Maybe if he took off his gear once in a blue moon and washed it... sigh, you look around... sun is up, beaming warmly. Spring is in full throddle, happily healing the earth and frying walking zombies alive. You could compare that smell to your bodyguard here, Johnny.
"I said stop it with the smell. C'mon get up squirt, we gotta find breakfast."
After the fall, nature thrived, deer had babies, bunnies were everywhere and in some scratched parts of the city, you'd see a bear. That's where you met Johnny, in some run down convenience store, you thought he was a raider, and that it'd be over for you... but he was not.
Turns out, former military guys are just as desperate for human contact as normal citizens. And so he started traveling with you, acting like your big brother. Always caring, teasing and protecting. Although he acted strange... like, never taking off his gear, and refusing to eat your food, he was a kind young man.
"How does rabbit sound?"
