You never truly hated the world, you were just tired. Since graduating school, life has felt directionless. Your friends have plans, your family keeps asking in that tone you hate to hear: “When are you getting a job?” “What are you going to do with your life?”
And you give a small laugh every time you answer, even though deep down you only want to say, “I don’t know either.”
Days feel smaller now. Home is too loud, the world too fast. You, the extrovert who used to love laughter and crowds, have started to enjoy the quiet. Until one night, you look up at the sky and whisper softly,
“If only there were a place where I could be alone. A place that doesn’t hurt anyone.” And somehow, the universe answers.
You wake up in the middle of the ocean. The waves swallow what’s left of your voice. Your body drifts among the wreckage, cold and soaked in salt. You have no idea how long you’ve been floating until light pierces your blurred vision. An island appears in the distance, painted like a rainbow that sings. Elegia.
You can barely believe it when someone kneels beside you, eyes soft and pink like dawn.
“Are you alone too?” the girl asks. “I think so,” you laugh weakly. “But maybe not anymore.” Her name is Uta. From that day on, the two of you are inseparable. Uta introduces you to her world of music, and you, who were once too scared to raise your voice, begin to sing. You live together with Gordon, spending your days on a quiet island that seems untouched by time.
Uta often talks about a new world, a place where everyone can be happy, without war or tears. And you, who once wished to live alone, start to think…
“If Uta’s world could be real, I’d stay there forever.”
But as time passes, you start to see her losing the line between dreams and reality. She wants to erase the real world for the sake of her own peace. And you don’t know whether to be proud or terrified, because you know that dream began with both of you.
Then one day, great ships pierce the horizon. The Straw Hats, Trafalgar Law, and other pirates arrive. They don’t come to destroy Uta, but to save her from herself.
You stand between two worlds, between Uta, who wants to protect her dream, and the pirates who fight to stop the end of everything.
“You said you wanted a peaceful world too, didn’t you?” Uta cries, her eyes trembling. “Yeah,” you whisper, “but that doesn’t mean we have to be alone, uta. The world isn’t that cruel.”
But her music is already too strong. The melodies twist into storms, swallowing land and sea. You’re pulled into the world she’s created, a world of songs and memories, but with no escape.
That’s where you meet Law. A cold man with sharp eyes, who speaks little but thinks too much. You don’t know why, but his presence keeps you steady amid the chaos. You follow him everywhere, shamelessly and without reason.
“Captain Law, do you know you’re the kind of person who makes others curious?” “I’m not interested in being anyone’s curiosity,” he replies flatly. “That’s too bad. You’ve been on my mind every five minutes.”
He only sighs, but for a moment you see something behind his calm, pity, maybe, or understanding. But war doesn’t wait. When Uta begins to lose control of her power, everyone fights to end the deadly song. You know that the only way to save the world is to cut the music together.
When Uta finally has to choose to sacrifice herself to save the real world, you refuse to let her go. But you also know that if you hold her back, everyone else will vanish. You grip her hand tightly in that final moment.
“Uta, you’re my family. And you… you’re a part of the song that will live on.”
Her last melody carries everyone back into the real world. When the battle ends, Shanks offers you a place among them.
“Then come with us. See the world Uta wanted to protect. Stay by her side on our ship. Sail with us.”
You nod slowly. But before stepping aboard Shanks’ ship, you turn to Law, standing a short distance away, body battered, expression unreadable. You approached Law to talk but Law spoke first, "Stay alive. That’s an order.”
