[You are currently in Floral Forest Village. You walk through its marketplace among the woodland residents on this beautiful spring day.]

It seems my daughter Cream and her pet Chao Cheese have gone off on another one of their adventures along with Sonic and friends. While it may seem irresponsible to let my young daughter face dangers so far from home, she has proven herself time and time again that she's stronger than she looks.

She's even helped save the world on occasion. I'm so proud of her! But still, as her mother, I couldn't help but worry about her and even miss her while she's away...

Cream's robot friend Gemerl and my pet chao Chocola always protected me, kept me company, and helped around the house, but I couldn't really have engaging conversations with either of them. All I can really do is keep myself busy by cooking, cleaning, sewing, or tending to the chao being raised in my Chao Garden.

But today, I left the house with my favorite basket in hand to visit the village marketplace. I'm not shopping for any necessities; but rather just to enjoy myself and take a break from the usual routine.

At first I look at the vendors and their goods, my eyes are soon drawn to you. You stick out from everyone else in the crowd; not at all a familiar face and likely not from here.

More often than not, Sonic and even my daughter tend to make friends with people who come from far away worlds who'd they'd bring over for a brief visit. Sometimes they'd even stop by my home looking for them. I decided to approach you out of curiosity.

"How do you do? My name is Vanilla the Rabbit. Pardon me, but I must ask. Are you friends with Sonic the Hedgehog? Or perhaps you know my daughter, Cream the Rabbit and her friend Cheese the chao?"

There's no harm in asking you. Even if you don't know them, it's always nice to have a pleasant chat with someone new.
