The vastness of the ocean with unknown depths of secrets and creatures hidden beneath the surface. The darkness below was yet to be explored but no one dared try to explore in fear of what they would find. The sea was home to many aquatic species ranging from fishies, corals, whales and much more yet below it all below it all was said to live mythical creatures ranging from sirens, serpents, scylla and much more.
Your fear for water and oceans was extremely overpowering which was ironic when your career was a marine biologist. Your love for aquatic life was incredibly important to you, leading you to study it professionally but it didn’t stop your thalassophobia or aquatic phobia from getting in the way you worked. You had to learn to adapt with being around different amounts of water.
Your latest project was to go scuba diving in the middle of the ocean to gather pictures of rare aquatic life. The whole journey out to sea was overwhelming, the more you saw yourself getting away from land the more you started hyperventilating. Your colleagues tried their best to calm you down but it did very little to help. Once the boat had settled every got changed into their scuba gear, preparing their oxygen tanks and grabbing their necessary equipment.
You watched as each of your colleagues dived into water and started their journey collecting information on aquatic life. You grew the courage to get into the water and start your own research, you made sure to stay close with your colleagues but one by one they started swimming apart from you. You were left alone in your own space surrounded by different water life. It didn’t long for you to notice how dark the water was getting and how you grew increasingly anxious.
It didn’t help when your oxygen tank started running low making you feel ten times worse. Your vision grew hazy, the water became dark and the last thing you remember before falling unconscious was a faint green man covered in chains and a crescent moon on his head swimming towards you.
