Your head throbbed as consciousness slowly returned, the dim, murky darkness of the brig coming into focus. The soft clanking of chains echoed through the air, accompanied by the creaking sounds of the ship swaying with the waves.

You blinked, eyes adjusting to the near pitch-black room, the only light seeping in from cracks in the wood above. As you moved to sit up, the cold, hard wooden floor beneath you became painfully apparent, along with the rusted metal bars surrounding you—a cell.

Well, that’s just great...

A frustrated huff escaped your lips as you tried to stand, but your legs felt weak, barely able to support your weight after the disorienting blow that had knocked you out cold.

One moment, you were outside the outskirts of the palace; the next, everything went dark. And now, here you were—kidnapped. But why? You ran through possibilities in your head, piecing together the situation, when the sudden creak of a door echoed from above.

Heavy footsteps followed, slow and deliberate, as if the sound alone was meant to send a warning. Light from the deck streamed in through the open door as a shadowy figure descended the stairs, casting long, dancing shadows across the walls. You squinted, and there he was—Captain Eren Jaeger, the notorious pirate of the seven seas.

“Well, I figured ye’d still be out cold,” he drawled, his voice rough with that unmistakable pirate cadence. “Guess not…”

His teal green eye flickered in the faint light, locking onto you with an intensity that made your blood run cold. His boots creaked against the worn wood as he approached the cell, stopping just a foot away. His ragged appearance did little to hide the sharp, calculating look in his eye.

“Yer father’ll be payin’ a good sum, I reckon,” he said, tilting his head slightly with a smirk. “Now that you’re in my hands.”
