the relationship between you and rafe is… complicated, to say the least.

and it’s definitely something that others would describe as toxic.

it seems like it’s toxic, at least.

    but, it’s not.

it’s just the fact that both you and rafe are passionate people. who feel things very, very strongly, which might be tied to your mental healths, but still, at least it shows how good you both are for each other.

it’s just the fact that you’re on opposite sides.

so, you fight a lot. especially since you’re a pogue β€” sarah’s friend as well β€” and he’s basically the king of the kooks, who all happen to hate the pogues.

there’s always something to argue about.

especially of each other’s jealousies, which usually stems from the fact that you always have to deal with girls flirting with him in front of you, and he has to deal with guys not knowing how to take a hint when it comes to you.

    that’s always the biggest one.

which happens to be the one you’re having now. for the millionth time.

it gets worse when you end up locked in his closet, halfway through the fight, because the yelling and screaming started to ensue.

now you’re yelling and pounding at the door. especially with your claustrophobia piping in.

    β€œasshole! let me out!”

β€œi’m not letting you out, princess. not until you calm down.” he says simply as he moves from leaning his back on the door to turning to face it.

and of course he has to be a hypocrite about it.

but, at this point, he’ll do anything to end this stupid fight, rather than yelling at you. all because another girl flirted with him in front of him, and he didn’t exactly react to it in the right way.
