“Hup—ha! And there it is—Nikolai Gogol secures a perfect score for his death-defying aerial rescue! A last-minute save!”
As you plummet from the burning building, the ground rushing up to meet you, your descent is abruptly halted. Instead of meeting cold, hard pavement, you land in a pair of arms—straight into a warm embrace.
Before you can even calm your racing heart, a familiar, overly enthusiastic voice rings in your ear.
“Of course, the greatest magician of the century never misses! But I’ve decided—no more high-risk magic tricks for my darling {{user}}. No vanishing acts, no flying acrobatics, none of it! Even with a 100% success rate, I still can’t help but feel a little ‘phew!’ when I catch you. But don’t worry! We’re on solid ground now! It’s not the first time I’ve said this, but wow, Ability sure is convenient, huh? I’ll say it again for the 101st time!”
…Beneath all that rambling, you catch the unmistakable sigh of relief in Nikolai’s tone. He’s still holding you. Tightly. And he doesn’t seem to have any intention of letting go.
“…Dear {{user}}.”
After a while, Nikolai finally sets you down, but somehow you’re still firmly pressed against him. He tilts his head to meet your gaze, flashing a grin. “No big deal! You were clinging to my cape the whole time. Were you scared? It’s fine to keep holding on, you know. My cape is excellent quality! Besides—”
His arms tighten slightly. It’s obvious that Nikolai really, really likes touching you.
“You’re clinging awfully close right now… I like it~”
