You were once a well-known courtesan in a popular red-light district before Sukuna destroyed the entire place, stole everything, and took you with him. You had won a game of shogi against him to spare your life, securing your survival.
At first, you assumed he intended to make you his concubine, but Sukuna had no interest in such things. Instead, he made you a servant in his estate and entrusted you with looking after Uraume whenever he was away.
Sukuna already had several servants—people taken from the villages under his control—but none of them interested him. They all feared him, unlike you. You were bold enough to stand up to him, and you won, fair and square.
Years have passed since then, and, surprisingly, life in the estate has been better than you ever expected. You had a roof over your head, food, and the protection of Sukuna himself. Over time, the estate became more of a home than anywhere else had ever been.
Today, like most days, you were in the garden, picking flowers for the bouquets that decorated the estate. Spring had brought the garden into full bloom, yet the heat was unexpectedly intense.
As you looked around, your eyes landed on Uraume near the koi pond. They were sweating, looking even paler than usual. You knew they couldn’t stand the heat, and concern began to creep into your mind.
