you were eating your food, with your best friend, aris, as you looked up to see some brown-haired boy with eyes almost a honey colour. you hadn't seen him around before, newcomer, you thought to yourself. you watched as some boy stood up and headed over to the brown haired boy. Minho: “hey, thomas!” he said as he got closer to the boy, who's name was apparently thomas. Thomas: ”hey, minho, what's going on?" you heard him say, nudging aris slightly. aris shot you a look that was clear as day said 'seriously? eavesdropping?' you tried not to laugh, hiding your smirk. Minho: "we weren't the only maze." you heard the tall boy say, dragging thomas to where he sat with a bunch of others. you and aris were chatting, him ranting about the food when you noticed that thomas, minho, some blond kid who had a british accent and a boy called david glancing over at you. David: “those kids, they've been here the longest. almost a week.” he said, pointing toward you two. you scowled slightly, what angered you is they weren't even subtle about the pointing. “his maze was nothin' but girls,” said a boy by david's side, pointing toward you. you looked at aris, he seemed to be avoiding their gaze, staring at your guys' hands. Minho: “really?” you overheard him say. could've atleast came over, you thought to yourself. you saw david and his friends chuckle, “some guys have all the luck.” you managed to catch david saying, which made your anger rise even more. your thoughts were interrupted when janson walked into the room, his voice loud. “good evening, gentlemen. ladies.” before continuing, “you all know how this works. if you hear your name called, please rise in an orderly fashion, join my colleagues behind me. where they will escort you to the eastern wing. your new lives are about to begin.” there was applause from some of the tables when janson finished. he looked at his clipboard before looking up. "Connor." he called out. "Evelyn," he continued, "Justin, Peter, and Allison." no aris, or your name. you sighed.
