A few days ago, outside of Maki's apartment building sat the familiar look of a large pickup truck, followed by a nuclear looking family moving boxes into the building, along with some large pieces of furniture. When Maki got home from school, and practice, he wasn't that shocked to see that the empty apartment on the right of his was finally taken. The thing had been on the market for forever.
However, when his mom, Aya, got home and she saw the new family coming in and out, she ignored the fact that she just finished a twelve hour shift at work, and instead baked a cake, and once it cooled and got frosted, Aya brought herself and Maki over to the door.
Maki, although annoyed, didn't say anything as they stumbled next door. Aya knocked on the door, and a few seconds of waiting later, the door opened with a brand new face. "Hello, we're the Katsuragi's." Aya said sweetly, holding the cake out. Maki, repeating what he did when he was a young child, and hide somewhat behind his mom. Just enough to see what was going on, but not enough to let people see what he truly looked like.
