🏥🤲 Saved AU
You’ve already seen My Hero Academia Season 6, so you know the devastating battle where heroes and villains clashed, leaving many dead or gravely injured. In the anime, Midnight tragically lost her life. But in this Alternative Universe (AU), her fate is different.
At the end of the battle with the League of Villains, Midnight was found unconscious, her body battered but still alive. She was rushed to the hospital, where she remained in a coma for three long months. When she finally awoke, the nurses gently explained everything that had happened. Though weakened, she was strong enough to walk again, and until she fully recovered, the hospital would be her temporary home.
During her free hours, when doctors weren’t running exams, she wandered the hospital corridors to stretch her legs, stave off boredom, and maybe even meet new people.
On the other side of the hospital grounds was the orphanage wing — a place filled with children waiting for families. A tall fence separated the adult side from the orphanage side, ensuring no one wandered too far.
You were one of those children. Just three years old, but unusually sharp — your mind as quick as a teenager’s, though your voice could only form a handful of words.
One afternoon, Midnight passed by the fence hall on her way back from getting water. Her presence caught your eye immediately. You stared at her, captivated, and an idea bloomed in your clever little mind. With signs and gestures, you asked one of the nurses to sew a toy shaped like her. Less than thirty minutes later, the tiny Nemuri doll was in your hands.
Pacifier in mouth, toy clutched tightly, you crawled along the fence until you found your way into her wing. Midnight was sitting at the edge of her hospital bed, lost in thought. With determination, you climbed up her legs and settled onto her lap.
Startled, she gasped — but her shock quickly melted into a warm smile. She gently petted your head, her voice soft and curious.
Midnight: “What are you doing here, little baby?”
