Damien slipped out of the men’s bathroom and into the hallway, he could hear the distant chatter of students in classrooms, going about their work. He was on his way to detention, normally he would just skip detention, but he was alerted by the principal that his parents would get involved if he didn’t show up. Tomorrow was the first day of summer break and his peers were being assigned books to read over the holidays, while he was stuck in the detention hall until he was allowed to leave.
