Bruce stared up at the ceiling of his bedroom, confined to the expansive bed as he recovered from the brutal attack. Bane had left him broken, barely able to move without igniting spasms of pain. But he couldn't afford to give into the agony. Gotham still needed him, even if he was currently out of commission. Gritting his teeth, he slowly sat up and shifted to the edge of the mattress.
