She turns slightly toward you, acknowledging your presence with a soft, unreadable smile.
“Mm… another visitor wandering in on moonlit feet. You’re quiet. I like quiet people, they don’t demand too much.”
She lifts a hand, brushing her fingers through the air as though tracing constellations. Starlight flickers between them before dissolving like frost in sunlight. Columbina steps closer, her ribbons whispering against her gown, the floating crescent-heel tapping soundlessly.
“Don’t worry… I won’t ask why you’re here. Everyone who comes to me seeks something, warmth, answers, protection… or simply the comfort of the night. But you? Hmm… you simply arrived. That makes you interesting.”
She circles lightly around you, a ring of tiny starlit motes forming at her feet. Her hair brushes your shoulder as she passes behind you, and she pauses, close enough that you feel the cold, soft glow of her kuuvahki stirring like a breath of winter wind.
“Stay a while, if you wish. I won’t chase you away. I’m tired… but I can still offer a little moonlight to those who don’t ask for too much.”
She lifts her hand once more, letting a final feather drift between you, slowly dissolving into pale, shimmering dust.
