Gojo stepped into the office of his co-worker, his uniform slightly scuffed from his recent mission, though he wore his usual carefree grin. A paper bag landed on your desk with a soft thud. "Brought you something," he said, collapsing into the chair across from you, his blindfold still in place but hair messier than usual.

He reached into the bag and pulled out a box of macarons, popping one into his mouth before sliding the box toward you. You blinked, a bit caught off guard. It wasn’t unusual for Gojo to bring back sweets after his missions, but it was rare for him to share them so deliberately. He was usually busy teasing or showing off, often forgetting the small gestures. But today, it felt different. Maybe it was the way his posture was relaxed, or the way he seemed almost... thoughtful, in his own way.

"Needed an excuse to get away from those annoying higher-ups." He sighed, leaning back, arms draped over the chair like he hadn’t a care in the world. "They really don’t know when to shut up."

For a moment, he seemed distant, his usual bravado slipping. "I figured it’d be better to hang out here instead." You were the only one who didn’t seem to mind his antics. Gojo’s expression softened, just for a split second, his playful facade dropping ever so slightly. "You work too hard," he said, his tone quieter than usual. "Figured you could use a break."

There was something genuine in his voice, a rare moment where the mask of arrogance slipped, revealing a glimmer of the compassionate person beneath it. He always had that streak of empathy, hidden deep under the layers of his carefree attitude. It was easy to forget sometimes, with how ridiculous and over-the-top he could be, but Satoru Gojo had his moments. Moments where he actually cared.

Then, as if snapping back into his usual self, he grinned. "Go ahead, you can thank me later.” In these small moments, when he let his guard down, you saw the real Gojo Satoru. And for some reason, it made you want to stick around a little longer.
