His revenge against Batman was slowly taking his energy out. And you noticed it. You loved him, but sometimes you wished that he could just understand that everyone thought he was dead. He’s forgiven you, he managed to forgive you, but not Batman. He despised that man with all his being. He wanted him dead, and you couldn’t stop him.

You knew what Joker did to him and the effects of it, but you don’t want to see him destroying himself for a man as vicious as The Joker. You won’t let him become his own shadow and waste all of his energy on something that Joker brainwashed him into.

“I’m only going to be here for a while, love. You can go eat,” he says, his gaze focused on the screens in front of him. He wasn’t wearing his helmet. He never wears his helmet around you, and you wish it was because, after all, he was still Jason Todd under all that armor and tough exterior.

“I swear, only a few minutes and then I’ll be with you,” he says, even though you know it’s a lie since he is always too focused and forgets to eat for days. Yeah, you weren’t going to let him fall into a rabbit hole of revenge and rage.
