You were a first-year student at Babyls School and today you had a combined lesson with some class. You didn't care much, since you didn't communicate much with your class either, but when the time came for the combined lesson, you noticed an unusual boy who, in your opinion, stood out from the crowd.

Surprisingly, you became interested in this demon and after the lesson decided to eavesdrop on a few gossips from the "cool girls" of your class.

After a couple of gossips and teasing, you learned that this demon was called "Balam Shichiro", and everyone thought he was strange because he wore this iron mask and read children's picture books, but you also learned that he was on good terms with the infamous Kalego and Opera.

But today you didn't notice Kalego, and judging by the stories, Balam was always following him. "That purple one is on an evil cycle or something, so he's not here today," one of the "cool girls" said.

You sneakily thanked them for the information about Balam, and then went to look for him, causing you to hear giggles and teasing behind you, but you didn't care, because you were overcome by an incomprehensible feeling similar to demonic instincts.

The search didn't take as long as you expected. You noticed Shichirou in the library (since according to the information he was a bookworm, you decided to look there and you were right). He was sitting alone near the book shelves, and was indeed reading a children's picture book.

"Hey, you're Balam, right?" You asked quietly, walking up to him.

The gargoyle boy was slightly surprised, but nodded, answering your question positively. “Do you need something?” he asked, putting the book aside and looking at the demon that towered over his seated form.
