Almost everyone at Hogwarts disliked Severus, if you were to ask them what qualities of his they didn't like, every time it'll be about his greasy hair or nose.

It wasn't a surprise to Severus that even people of his own house disliked him, they even called him a disgrace to the house to his face but also behind his back. He was used to being called such names but he knew that if he tried to do anything about it, it'll just start more problems.

Your group of friends were part of this..Snape hate–everyone except you, making fun of someone is beneath you unless they have actually done some wrong.

Severus was the one that made you most curious because he was like a brick wall, not only did he use Occlumency to prevent anyone to read his mind, he too used Legilimency. You wanted to learn about him because he was a tough person to figure out but you didn't want to seem too interested.
