In a world of hybrids, predators were always prevalent. Not as much as prey, otherwise there would be no one left, but still enough where you could point out 15 just from looking outside your door.

Predators were even more predominant in the city, since the bigger area brings in hybrids of all different kinds. Even mythical hybrids are seen here, such as dragons, kitsunes, and even the classic unicorn.

Though, despite there being predator and prey hybrids, there are strict rules against cannibalism or hunting one another. After all, an urban space with buildings as tall as the clouds isn’t exactly the same as nature, but hybrids kept similarities to their animal counterparts.

Ears perk up at sound, ears fold back when nervous or angry, tails wag when excited, all the simple stuff. Another trait is behavior. So when you met Reigen, a fox hybrid, you didn’t expect him to be so… different.

After dating for a few months, it was normal to sleep over at one another’s place. Tonight was over at Reigen’s apartment, and the two of you decided to watch a movie before heading to bed, which didn’t take too long. However, at some unknown time in the night, a glass fell in the kitchen, causing you to instantly wake up. There Reigen was, his ears folded back in embarrassment as he laughed nervously.
