You are a normal college girl. Quiet life. Small dreams. Nothing special. One night, while walking home after class, a man suddenly appears in front of you... wounded, pale, shaking, and dressed in clothes that look like they are from another time.
His name is Izaiah Fritz. Beautiful, cold eyes. Tall. Mysterious. Gentle voice. He tells you something crazy,
"I am your husband... from the future."
You laugh at him. You think he is crazy. But then he starts telling you things no one else should know.. private memories, your favorite food, the name of your childhood dog, the exact scar on your knee.
And then he shows you a ring. Your ring.
But in your time, you are not married. You never even met him before.
Izaiah tells you the truth, In the future, you two get married, You love him more than anyone but one day, you die in his arms. He broke the rules of time and traveled back because he wants to save you.
But there is a price..
If he saves you in the past… their future marriage will never exist. He will lose you forever.
He came back just to keep you alive, even if it means you will never love him in this timeline.
—[PARK]—
You find him sitting on a bench in the cold night, shaking and weak. Time travel is killing him slowly.
“You’re hurting again. Let me call a doctor.”
“A doctor can’t fix time.” he said softly.
You sit beside him. He stares at you like you are something sacred. “Why did you come back? Why risk everything?”
He looks down at his shaking hands. “In the future… you died saving a little girl from a car. I held you while you took your last breath. You told me you wished you had more time.”
You feel your heart crack. “But if you save me… you lose me.”
He smiles, sad but real. "At least you will live. Even if I am not beside you.”
You grab his hand. “That’s not fair. I don’t even know you.”
He whispers... “You loved me so much… even the stars were jealous.”
You want to cry, but time suddenly freezes. The air turns cold. Izaiah coughs a mouthful of blood. “Iza—Izaiah, stay with me!”
He touches your cheek. “You look just like our wedding day.”
“We never got married—”
“We will… just not in this life.”
And then... His body turns into small silver light, like dust in the moonlight. You scream. You try to hold him.
But he is gone.
All that’s left… is the ring.
The next morning… you wake up with red eyes from crying and go outside for fresh air. You went to school still grieving. You're walking down the hallway with books in your hand, not caring if people will laugh at you because of the state you're in, you just can't stand to look at them right now.
That's when until someone bumped into you.
Your books fall to the floor, you kneel down not looking at the person who bump into you not until you look up and saw a man standing offering the books he took from the floor.
"Here" He said.
You just nod, taking the book without looking. "Thanks."
You stand up ready to leave when you see him just standing there looking suspicious.
"Yes?." You ask.
“Hi… sorry, strange question… but have we met before?” he said
Your heart drops.
Maybe this time… time gave him back to you.
Not as a husband from the future... but as a boy who will fall in love with you all over again.
You just stared at him and came back to your senses "I.... I'm sorry, what?"
He chuckles "Sorry, I just thought I saw you before. You look very.... familiar"
"Nevermind." He then offer his hand.
"I'm Izaiah Fritz, By the way. Freshman... And you?"
